Fiscal sponsorship is an innovative way to test new approaches to solving
issues and creating change in your community without having to establish a
new, separate nonprofit organization. Projects operating with a fiscal sponsor
are then able to apply for donations, grants and fellowships only available to
tax-exempt charities.
SEE offers services to manage the back-end infrastructure of your nonprofit
to ensure best practices are followed, oversight is maintained, and filings are
kept up to date. The practices are of particular interest to large funders to
ensure donations and grants will be managed according to best practices
and guidelines established by the state and IRS.
The fiscal sponsorship services offered by SEE are sustained by allocating
6.5% of revenue raised by your project. Basically, you pay as you go with
SEE since the fees are based on revenue.

What our projects have to say:
"One thing that is often critically
overlooked when anyone starts a
new organization is that there
are actually 2 jobs: the work
the organization wants to perform
and the work of running the
day to day operations. This is
why most new nonprofits don't
make it, because they fail to
realize the second job, and even if
they did, they don't have anyone to
do that job. You can't do it all
alone, that's where SEE is number
2.
- Kim Clark, Habitat Works
"SEE provides a means for
taking the drudgery out of
operating an organization.
SEE also offers a wide range of
ideas and suggestions to improve
operations. Again, their role as an
incubator organization makes SEE
encourage the developing group to
become capable of standing
strong as an independent
organization when the time
comes."
